So there I am doing a weight loss session with a client, the scene is set with restful music, candles and her parrot that has being removed from the room, covered up and is two rooms away under strict instructions to keep quiet.
Everything is going fine and the parrot is quiet as I gently take the client on a guided visualisation taking her deeper and deeper so that I could suggest images and thoughts to help her lose weight.
30 minutes into the session and the client is deeply relaxed and all is going well and I get to the part where I suggest to her the image of looking in a full length mirror and seeing herself in a new dress, with a new hairstyle and looking slim and fit. At this point the parrot who hadn't made a cheep starts wolf whistling loudly from the far room and continues to wolf whistle and make kissing noises until the end of the session.
If that wasn't an incentive for her to lose weight I don't know what is, my only worry was that in her trance like state...she didn't think that it was me doing the wolf whistles :-)
I was struggling to keep talking gently too her without bursting into laughter as the parrot then continued to make kissing noises.
As I closed the session down the blessed bird was as quiet as a mouse having obviously decided it had got it's message across and it had declared it's undying love for it's owner.
Thank goodness it didn't start singing the birdie song as well! But it obviously knew exactly what was going on and was giving it's owner as much encouragement as possible.
Here was a photo taken one evening looking out towards the valley and mountains, we had been trying to catch orbs and had found a few but I found this the next morning when I checked the photo's through my laptop screen.
What do you make of it?
This photo was of the same view but taken about 10 metres to the right!
On April 20th 2012 I was invited to see the German physical medium Kai at an experimental séance at the Banyon Retreat at Ashford in Kent. Travelling with friends Chris , Alan and Richard from the Bristol Spirit Lodge we enjoyed the long journey to Kent sharing our past experiences about mediumship in general and laughing about the humourous events and people we had met.
There was much banter as Richard told the story of sitting in a séance and a faint voice coming from the far corner telling a woman (Spirit) ‘this is your father speaking’ (Sitter)‘hello father’, (Spirit) ‘do you remember the horse we had?’,(Sitter) ’ No’ (Spirit) ‘you must remember the horse we cared for?’, (Sitter)‘No’ , (Spirit)‘this is your father speaking’ etc.
From that point whenever we needed to address each other it started with “This is your father speaking (with a faint far away voice)”
We arrived at the Banyan Retreat and as soon as we drove through the wrought iron gates into a driveway with a beautiful lake on the left, we knew it was going to be a special evening.
We were given a warm welcome and it was lovely to be personally greeted by Kai, as many physical mediums I have gone to see, kept themselves in a quiet room somewhere and the first you saw of them was when they came into the séance room.
We were all led into a restful light room where we sat until Kai and his fiancé and circle leader Julia came into the room and introduced themselves before giving an explanation of his work. Kai’s work is very much focused around the Scole Group teachings which was focused in providing evidential phenomena for scientific validation.
We were then led into the séance room which was roomy and clean with two rows of seats in a horseshoe shape around the ‘cabinet’ which was like a round black tent about 1 meter in diameter and hung from a hook in the ceiling.
All the sitters removed shoes, belts, watches and were searched to ensure the safety of the medium. Then the medium was independently strip searched as well as the two assistants to ensure that everyone could enjoy the evening with an open mind and enjoy the wonderful phenomena.
The séance was held in blackout conditions with red light used when necessary, loud music was played and we were encouraged to hum or sing along too. This raised the energy and allowed everyone to be participating and helping the energy to build as Kai took himself into a deep trance state and his main guide and spirit control Prof Hans Bender came forward to speak.
I was aware of cold draughts building up around my legs and no higher than my knees and loud rappings like someone with a small hammer tapping on various parts of the ceiling, walls and floor. This continued even when Hans was speaking with his voice gradually gaining strength and clarity.
I saw fluttering lights like fireflies that moved almost like moths around a bright light, but also at one point the cabinet curtains were opened and I could see one of these spirit lights going round and round the medium’s head.
There were various people saying they were being touched and prodded though I personally didn’t experience it, there was also musical rattles on the floor which we could hear being shook. The rattle was about 4 metres away from the medium and whilst it was being used, Hans continued to talk through the medium with confirmation from the assistants either side that they were using the ‘four limb control’ on the medium to prove that he and they hadn’t moved from their position.
There was a short pause with a dim torch light used to allow all from the back row to swap with the front row so that all would have good viewing, this allowed me my opportunity to get closer to the action. At this point Hans indicated that there was gentleman in spirit who wished to be remembered to a man who was in the room. He explained that he was being told that the man in the room worked for Spirit but he had grown up in some sort of religious cult or sect before leaving of his own accord. He explained that the man in spirit died at an age of about 92 and that he felt that he had put a lot of pressure on the man in the room and wished to say sorry because he had been wrong. He also said that he was helping the man he was connecting with.
At this point I spoke up and accepted the message as I realised it was my father, I was born into a religious sect called the Exclusive Brethren and rebelled against the strict rules from my late teens until I was banished at the age of 26 having my home, job, family and friends taken from me with no further contact made until I saw my father on his death bed 20 years later.
I was put under huge pressure to conform, get married and not think for myself, but have always been grateful that my father gave me an awareness of Spirit and would often come home and recount ghostly experiences he had been told of by various acquaintances he had. I also have experienced my father around me in various circles soon after his passing and it was understandable that he would have enjoyed the singing at the séance as my father was always singing. And the Seeker’s songs that we sang to boost the energy of for Kai, were some of my father’s favourites that he used to play his mouth organ along to as I played my guitar.
I also realised that with his sense of humour he would had laughed as he listened to our banter before the séance of, “This is your father speaking”.
The next phenomena was a luminous board which was about 5” square placed on an upturned bucket again about 4 meters away from the medium and as we sang along to the music I saw various spirit hands of different sizes move over the board before twice pulling the board off the upturned bucket and leaving it upside down on the floor, as if to say ‘that’s it, we’ve done that now’.
The next thing was the red light being turned on under Hans instructions and the sheets of the cabinet pulled back so that the medium was in full view and you could clearly see what looked like streams of cotton wool or candy floss around the medium’s face, down to the floor and strung across from side to side of the cabinet walls. This ectoplasm substance was opened up by Hans through his mediums hands to show the flexibility of the substance which at times looked like the connective tissue of the body.
After more singing the cabinet opened again with even more of this ectoplasm substance around the medium whilst a particularly large mass was opened up to reveal a beautiful ‘apport’ of a brown crystal
http://kai-muegge.blogspot.co.uk/ which was presented to Chris Di Nucci for her work and dedication to Spirit in helping to support and develop physical mediums over the last 8 years.
It was an amazing experience and I felt huge gratitude to Kai and his team for their dedication and I appreciated Kai again coming to say thank you afterwards when you could see he had still not quite recovered.
If you get the chance to see Kai I would definitely recommend the experience.
When we wish for something our consciousness opens to receiving it like a flower unfolding its petals to receive a bee.
From blowing dandelion seeds into the air to throwing a penny into a fountain, we have all felt inspired to make a wish, to whisper our secret desires into the ears of the universe and wait for signs that we have been heard. Some wishes come true while others remain ethereal visions that either stay with us or fade like a star in the light of morning. Whether they come true or not, wishes are important missives, expressing our heart's desire as well as our intention to create something new in our lives. When we wish for something, our consciousness opens to receiving it, like a flower unfolding its petals to receive a bee.
There is something innocent and magical about making a wish, something that recalls the energy of childhood. Wishing is not about formulating a plan and following it step by step to attain a goal, which is the realm of adulthood. Wishing is more like a playful volley across the universe, an invitation to play. Waiting for the response is an integral part of the process. Wishing inspires an innocent opening to the possibility of magic as we wait to see if the invisible realm will bring our wish to life. This opening is a beautiful gesture in and of itself, regardless of the outcome. We place ourselves in a magical mind, and this mind is arguably as wonderful as the fulfillment of our wish itself.
In our straightforward, action-oriented society, we may tend to dismiss the power of this seemingly passive process, yet the power of a wish is well known, hence the cautionary phrase, "Be careful what you wish for." If you have given up wishing in favor of more adult pursuits, you might want to bring its magic back into your life. The next time you see the first star of the evening, or find yourself in front of a birthday cake covered in flaming candles, give yourself the gift of the magical realm that you knew so well as a child—close your eyes, open your mind, and make your wish.
We can excel easier in our lives when our own spiritual, physical, and intellectual needs are fulfilled.
Within each of there is a well of energy that must be regularly replenished. When we act as if this well is bottomless, scheduling a long list of activities that fit like puzzle pieces into every minute of every day, it becomes depleted and we feel exhausted, disconnected, and weak. Refilling this well is a matter of finding time to focus on, nurture, and care for ourselves, or "you time." Most of us are, at different times throughout the day, a spouse, a friend, a relative, an employee, a parent, or a volunteer, which means that down time, however relaxing in nature, is not necessarily "you time." Though some people will inevitably look upon "you time" as being selfish, it is actually the polar opposite of selfishness. We can only excel where our outer world affairs are concerned when our own spiritual, physical, and intellectual needs are fulfilled.
Recognizing the importance of "you time" is far easier than finding a place for it in an active, multifaceted lifestyle, however. Even if you find a spot for it in your agenda, you may be dismayed to discover that your thoughts continuously stray into worldly territory. To make the most of "you time," give yourself enough time on either side of the block of time you plan to spend on yourself to ensure that you do not feel rushed. Consider how you would like to pass the time, forgetting for the moment your obligations and embracing the notion of renewal. You may discover that you are energized by creative pursuits, guided meditation, relaxing activities during which your mind can wander, or modes of expression such as writing.
Even if you have achieved a functioning work-life balance, you may still be neglecting the most important part of that equation: you. "You time" prepares you for the next round of daily life, whether you are poised to immerse yourself in a professional project or chores around the home. It also affords you a unique opportunity to learn about yourself, your needs, and your tolerances in a concrete way. As unimportant as "you time" can sometimes seem, it truly is crucial to your well being because it ensures that you are never left without the energy to give of yourself.
Many people live their lives struggling against the current while others use the flow like a mighty wind.
The flow of the universe moves through everything. It’s in the rocks that form, get pounded into dust, and are blown away, the sprouting of a summer flower born from a seed planted in the spring, the growth cycle that every human being goes through, and the current that takes us down our life’s paths. When we move with the flow, rather than resisting it, we are riding on the universal current that allows us to flow with life.
Many people live their lives struggling against this current. They try to use force or resistance to will their lives into happening the way they think it should. Others move with this flow like a sailor using the wind, trusting that the universe is taking them exactly where they need to be at all times. This flow is accessible to everyone because it moves through and around us. We are always riding this flow. It’s just a matter of whether we are willing to go with it or resist it. Tapping into the flow is often a matter of letting go of the notion that we need to be in control at all times. The flow is always taking you where you need to go. It’s just a matter of deciding whether you plan on taking the ride or dragging your feet.
Learning to step into the flow can help you feel a connection to a force that is greater than you and is always there to support you. The decision to go with the flow can take courage because you are surrendering the notion that you need to do everything by yourself. Riding the flow of the universe can be effortless, exhilarating, and not like anything that you ever expected. When you are open to being in this flow, you open yourself to possibilities that exist beyond the grasp of your control. As a child, you were naturally swept by the flow. Tears of sadness falling down your face could just as quickly turn to tears of laughter. Just the tiniest wave carrying you forward off the shores of the ocean could carry you into peals of delight. Our souls feel good when we go with the flow of the universe. All we have to do is make the choice to ride its currents.
Well what a fabulous trip to Hong Kong and the New Age shop, even though the workshops weren't too busy...I had a very busy last week and met some amazing people.
It seemed at times that we were being taken back to very, very old memories in past life memories with old trauma's needing to be healed. It was a pleasure to bring in some deep memory processing and with the help of my Spirit Doctors we were able to energectically carry our Psychic Surgery.
I am running 3 circles at the moment and am setting up a Healing Circle so that anyone who needs healing can come to the group and enjoy a group healing well I will also work with each person there. I think that this makes healing accessible to anyone as it will be cheaper than a one to one session but the energy of the group will be very powerful.
I hope you are all enjoyong this beautiful summer weather.
